PhD in Political Science, University of Canterbury
Andrea Chloe Wong's expertise is on political and security issues in the Philippines and Asia. She completed her PhD in Political Science at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
She is also one of the non-resident WSD Handa Fellow for the Pacific Forum CSIS. She formerly worked as a Senior Foreign Affairs Research Specialist at the Foreign Service Institute Philippines and now focuses on freelancing work, writing commentaries and analysis on Philippines politics and international relations.
She has contributed to several research institutions and publications such as The Diplomat (Washington DC), IPP Review (Singapore), Thinking ASEAN (Jakarta), Pacific Forum (Hawaii), and The Interpreter/ Lowy Institute (Australia). She has also written several opinion articles for local news organizations such as the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Rappler.
